[Fluxbox Edition] Shutdown wihtout password

Postby fleischwanze on Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:21 am

Hi,
I installed the Linux Mint Fluxbox Community Edition few days ago and i really love. But everytime when i want to shutdown the computer he asks my for the root password. My whole family is using this computer but i don't want to give them the root password. So what can i do that they can shutdown without the password?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

This is an aspect of Fluxbox that I personally don't like but that some people like because not everyone can turn the computer off (oh well...)
I found a topic in the Ubuntu forums about it
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4167163
There is more than one method described

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
