update the linuxmint is very slowly. why?
hi, forum buddies,
why does it take a long whyle to update (the system) the linuxmint 4.02 (with gnome) when installing it? it stopped at 85% and it forgot to grow up.does the ftp archives are so busy? they should improve it.best regards.

1. are you using bittorrent or downloading while trying to update?
2. The servers are busy at times, but I usually get over 100 kbs down while updating and installing software.
3. You could have issues with the network device, or the driver, I would suggest running a speedtest to see how well you fare at that..
