VLC player

Postby nac on Tue Feb 05, 2008 10:27 am

I installed Mint in a PC with no internet, (Ethernet card's temporarily busted) but fortunately I can access the net from another PC. Where can I find the packages required to install VLC player using Windows XP? The "Ubuntu Linux" section of the Videolan site only contains instructions for installing it from within Linux. :?

Could you just show me where I can download the individual packages please? Thanks.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

The debian packages should work properly, as Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu, which is based on debian

http://packages.debian.org/vlc

somebody correct me if I'm wrong though

Thanks. I'm trying that, but I think there are some incompatibilities between Ubuntu and Debian packages.
