I apologize beforehand for my complete lack of true geekiness, try as I might. As a diehard geek wannabe, I have sampled a lot of Linux distros, only to get stumped over and over (and over) by the simplest tasks. That's why I love Linux Mint --it just works.
I'm running Lisa (Linux Mint 12, 64-bit), and I have been trying to set Electric Sheep as my screensaver, but with zero results. I downloaded Electric Sheep, and I can get it running in GNOME MPlayer from Terminal, but that's about it. The instructions on the Electric Sheep site don't help much, and some of their links are broken.
Following directions found on this forum, I was able to get XScreenSaver up and running. And I like it (although I don't see a way of customizing it, either). But Electric Sheep is a sort of passion of mine. Any ideas?
TIA,
Felix
