missing /dev/fb*

missing /dev/fb*

Hi,
im newbie in linux, but i try to program some directFB application. No problem with compilation, but when i run the program, got message with "cant open /dev/fb0 or /dev/fb/0".
this files are missing in my installation.
Can i create it ?
or do you have any otrher idea ?


VGA is radeon X1600, mint 4.0 (daryna)

There must be some mistake somewhere
/dev/fb0

this is the floppy
So you have to check carefully

i dont now but in my opinion /dev/fb* is device named framebuffer

Sorry sorry ouch :oops:
I read fd, that is d as in david as the second letter
fb with b as i butter as the second letter is indeed a framebuffer
This is probably something you want to ask around at the directFB site
