Updating openchrome drivers...

Postby chowanec on Thu Feb 07, 2008 3:42 pm

...hey all (again).

Sorry for what is likely a trivial question to long-time linux users, but I am using a version (I don't even know how to tell) of openchrome that I installed last year. I noticed on the open chrome site that there is a 2008 driver up there. I was going to upgrade in the hopes of addressing some wonkiness with my current setup. Is there a way to do this with apt-get, or do I need to download the binaries and do it all manual like?

Thanks in advance.

The package is called xserver-xorg-video-openchrome, look at the version in Synaptic, but chances are that you are using an older release.
Look at this, gives a step by step instruction on how to compile OpenChrome.
