Minty question.

Minty question.

G'day everyone. This is my 3rd try with Mint, and so far, all is good.

I've had a few problems but i'm mostly sorted out now by using the first two installs as learning platforms.

I came over from the Ubuntu forums originally, and i'm currently triple-booting Mint, Ubuntu and Win XP on this computer. Everything is running like a clock... :D

My query is....on the mint desktop, there are two folders, Computer and my Home folder. As these are in the Daryna menu, how can I get rid of the two icons from my desktop and have a nice clean desktop?

I realise it's probably an easy thing to do, but I can't see how to do it.

Thanks for the help, this is a really great distro. I actually prefer the look and feel of it over 'Buntu.

Right click on the icon and click "delete to trash." At least I think that's what it is called. :-)

Try with MintDesktop... :wink:

Go into the Mint Menu (bottom left) and look for Mintdesktop.

Another option is ALT + F2, type in gconf-editor, select apps, scroll down to nautilus, select desktop. In there you can check/uncheck preferences
