Odd sound problem. solved

Postby allforcarrie on Thu Feb 21, 2008 12:04 am

When i install mint my sound works fine. Once I start updating my sound goes away. I'm not sure what breaks the sound but the only way to fix it is to reinstall mint.

That's sad...
Without knowing version, edition and hardware it's simply not possible to give some specific advice.
You say updating, update one thing at a time only and when sound breaks you know what caused it - a bit painstaking I know :)

I had something like that happen to me back in the day when I was using Ubuntu. But it's only happened once. No clue what caused it.
