How to remove a language

For some reason, I have Chinese installed along with English. And sometimes when I log in everything is in Chinese. I went to System Settings->Language Support and clicked on Install/Remove Languages. But the only language checked is English. But for some reason Chinese is listed in the Lanuage tab.
