I have a usb modem,an unlocked vodafone ZTE k3770-Z.And i want to use it to connect to INTERNET.but its not happening.The Linux 12 doesn't recognize it as a mobile communication device but it recognizes it as a memory stick.I wish someone would help me to fix dis problem.

Check to see that you have both these files installed:
usb_modeswitch
usb_modeswitch-data
You can use Synaptic Package Manager to do this

I offer this link as a possible solution - I was very impressed in the early days when 3G dongles didn't work with Linux and this solved the problem.
