SO basically i am running Linux Mint via the live version. I am currently running xp pro sp2 right now. i was wondering if you could actually download ndiswrapper while in windows and save it to a usb flash drive and then save the .inf files for my wifi card in the usb flash drive. turn off the computer and then run the live cd, and access the usb stick and install ndiswrapper and then install the .inf files to get wifi going.
This is the only thing that is keeping me from running linux full time. i have no internet. i have no hardwire connection as i share a wifi hot spot with several people in a building. ergo i need to find i way to do my downloads in windows and save to disk and the load on the live version linux to make sure things work before i fully commit myself.
is there a proper way of downloading the ndiswrapper while in windows ? or can i simply just follow the download link and save it to a usb flash disk.? and then double click to open it in linux, and it will install. ? i dunno
any help would be appreciated. thanx
