mint intall don't install *.mint

Hello,

I have a stranger problem whit mintinstall , sure I have put my finger were I mustn't

when I tried to install one program from the mint web it happen this:



Archive Manager was now default for this type of archive and mintinstall disappears , there is no option to mintinstall, I can click in "other" but no idea where is mintinstall.
If I save them on desktop and double click on them also nothing happens.

I reinstall minisntall from Synaptic Package Manager and the same.

Any idea what is wrong?

I read several about mintinstall in this forum but I don't find to resolve the mistake.

Not sure what caused the disassociation with .mint files, but if you use the "other" method, mintInstall can be found at /usr/lib/linuxmint/mintInstall/mintInstall.py

If you click on it it should have a list and mintIstall as one of them.
If not you can browse and select /usr/bin/mintInstall.

I tried whit /usr/lib/linuxmint/mintInstall/mintInstall.py but it opens minintall window and don't install it :






also tried save and click and the same, open the mintinstall window and if I select ministall ( without .py) nothing happens.
Synaptic still works but have no program score.

edit: I also see I can make this:

loock the program I'm interesting in Linux mint software portal
open linuxmint windows
select apt
put the name of the program+ search+ install

it's doesn't work..(( no one thing from this post/ And I see I'm not alone..
can't install ".mint" files by the Mintinstall
only can see small window with search "mint" or "deb" files.. think it's a bug.
In Elissa all was ok. better remember "apt-get install" , but what for mintinstall ?

make sure you upgrade level 1 apps fully using mintUpdate, since I believe this issue was fixed in a recent release.
