mintInstall - Nothing happens

Hello to everyone,

I have a mintInstall problem. When I click on a .mint file, except .mint's icon moves around (?!), nothing happens. I thought that double click on a .mint file was supposed to bring up mintInstall, and then I only have to click on Install button. I can still install this program that I'm stuck with, but only by manually going to mintInstall and then searching for it :/

Sorry, but that didn't help, since I didn't understand the last part of that post (from ur link).

So, what can I do about it? I just want to be able to install it like I'm running a setup.exe or something like that

if you boot with the live cd & click on the install icon on the desktop - does that start the install or not ?.

sorry, having read your post again I suspect it's even simpler then that. Try selecting the .mint file, then pressed enter. If this works, it's because your moving the mouse too much when double clicking.

Pierre: this is to do with .mint files and mintInstall, not the ubiquity install on the liveCD

EDIT: it seems this is a bug in mintInstall afterall, look out for an update soon.

a new update has come through the repos, mintInstall 6.3.7.1, please update and report whether this fixes your problem.
