help me please with 2 problems

I have vista and xp ...and now Linux Mint
1-I have not sound, i have a Realtek on board (in vista and xp it works)
2- I want to start the computer with out Grub, I want to start with the blank screen were i chose OR VISTA. OR XP. OR LINUX
( i have easy boot program )
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO ...LIKE FOR A BEGINER IN LINUX

Please read all post & try searching for your Hardware.

As for the Grub problem, you can modify your grub boot menu with SuperGrub Boot Disk here = http://www.supergrubdisk.org/

As far as I know you can not modify the windows boot menu, ( because it is DOS & does not work with, or will not work with Linux boot )
