Using Mint 8 (first time linux user)

Can one pause/resume a download with mintinstall?
eg I tried to mintinstall openarena (300mB) I can not find a pause/resume function.

I also tried gwget - also could only find a CANCEL button.

Indeed, there's no pause button in mintInstall. But it will actually resume the download automatically if you cancel it and try to download again later. Partially downloaded packages are kept in /var/cache/apt/archives/partial/.
