Had it remove that file and then copy the file to it.
Must have been a late night.
A workaround would to run this in terminal:

sudo touch /usr/share/applications/mplayer-playlist.desktop
Once xfcemint-doc is installed, install xfcemint-desktop.
Edit: I fixed the package and now the link points to the fixed updates.
I also added a step to get xfcemint-desktop to install.
