Quicktime trailers don't play
If I try to play a trailer on the Quicktime site it plays audio but no video. Any help?

Re: Quicktime trailers don't play
sometimes I have to close firefox and restart it to get video to play properly, but the problem you describe is MOST likely the result of a driver conflict with Compiz.
Try this:
Disable compiz
Reload the video

Re: Quicktime trailers don't play
It is a common conflict. Compiz works great for a lot of people. Video playback works great for almost everyone. Many people get full motion video without disabling Compiz. The default desktop theme for Mint enables minimal Compiz, but for some people (me included) this is too much.eksatx wrote:Now for the rant: it sure seems like I see lots of posts from people not being able to get multimedia stuff like this to work. What gives?
Disable compiz thusly:
R-click the desktop
L-click Change Desktop Background
L-click Visual Effects (tab)
L-slick None (radio button)
Re-enable it from the same screen if you so desire.
Re: Quicktime trailers don't play, how about Real?
Download and install Realplayer 11: http://www.4shared.com/file/62402642/bf ... _i386.html
Link playing video:(sometimes you have to refresh the page)

Working fine here, even without disableing the realmedia, helix and SMil mplayer plugin support.
I have to refresh the page most of the time though.
Try the new package I made.
