Edit Movies
I've bought a VCR/DVD recorder. To record my home movies that are on VHS tapes. I want a software that will let me edit my home videos. So I can add music and pictures to my movies. Can anyone tell me of software that will let me edit movies? I'm looking for something like "Windows Movie Maker".

sudo apt-get install kdenlive
Re: Edit Movies
I'd use the dvd recorder to edit rather than the computer. No software needed, no crashes or lock ups.

Re: Edit Movies
Thanks. Kdenlive looks like a great program. I'm using Mint 5 (Elyssa). With the GNOME desktop. I've went to their web site. It says it's for KDE. Do you know if it will work with GNOME?Acid_1 wrote:You should definitely try kdenlive then.

Most KDE apps work in Gnome, just it loads their libraries on top of Gnome, so it slows down your pc a bit, but I wouldn't be too concerned (only while you run that app)It says it's for KDE. Do you know if it will work with GNOME?
