Ubuntu has an alternate installation that allows for total disk encryption, is such a disk available for mint? success stories or issues?

Re: encryption question
We only have the Live CD install - we are a small crew and can't find the time to develop that
Re: encryption question
You could try using TrueCrypt to encrypt your system disk. I'm not sure if that particular feature of TrueCrypt works with Linux or not, as the documentation only mentions Windows. It's worth some investigation, though.

I'm pretty sure, now that I'm reminded of truecrypt, that there is - or was - a topic about encrypting the entire disk (except the boot partition) in the forum
