help! Sony ICD-P620

Post by drointhewind »

So my dad gave me his digital voice recorder (sony icd-p620) that he hasn't been using since he got it. I'm a college student so I use it for recording my lectures and what not. The only problem I have is that when I plug it via usb, is that it can't be recognized by my USB device. I really need to be able to listen to these lecture since I have a lot of midterms coming up soon so any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

(i hope i don't get a lot of flak for registering today and this being my first post :| )

Why on earth would you get that....
With the device plugged in run lsusb and post the result here
If you find it listed you could google for the device number and/or Linux, Mint, Ubuntu... but I can't find anything useful searching for ICD-P620
A bad solution, but a solution - you could connect the audio out jack on the voice recorder to your mic in jack on your computer.

There is very little info about this device. It should work under Windows so if you have Wine you may try it that way
