Elyssa boot splash

Post by badmotor »

Hi guys,

did anyone ever solve the boot splash not filling the entire screen on some machines thing? One of those little things that bugs me every time I boot up - I searched the forum, but I don't think a solution was found. I'd sure like to solve it if anyone has any suggestions?

I personally don't understand why this bothers people - I have it like that and I simply find a frame around the usplash - rather nice I think
I have answerd this God knows how many times the last days
Here's a link to two good answers

Tried about 5 different resolutions, none of them helped. Oh well, thanks for the suggestion anyway Husse.

I see I got a little harsh - not intended - it was just that just that I answered it two or three times yesterday before your question
Of course it is to look nice :)

haha - no worries Husse, I see you answering alot of posts about the same things. No offense taken.

Don't underestimate the importance of the whole aesthetic side of things - it may be a little superficial, but alot of people are drawn in by the looks. I quite like the Fedora 9 boot sequence - very nice to look at. Of course, then I remember how frustrating it is to use - trying to install codecs, even getting the internet connection running was a mission.
