I have been able to see shared folders on a computer running windows. But for some reason can I not see them anymore on Linux Mint. I can see them on another Windows computer. So they are still shared but not visible on my computer running Elyssa. What have I done wrong?

Re: Shared folders
Do I understand you right - you have seen the shared folders in Elyssa?
If not you should enable sharing > Control Center > Shared Folders
You enable basic sharing when you allow a folder to be shared

Re: Shared folders
Correct. I have been able to se the folders. The problem solved itself some how. After five or six restarts of the computer was I again able to get access to folders on a distant computer. Could the problem have been that Samba was not starting up?
Re: Shared folders
It could
This is the worst kind of problem to solve and I mostly guess some hardware failure behind it. It could be bad mains, bad soldering and what not
