Hi,

Your specs are more than decent (I run Mint on a 1Ghz downgraded to 700Mhz with 512MB of RAM and everything's fast). Do you have a problem or a slow HDD maybe? Check dmesg for error messages or google for issues with your hardware.

Or maybe Beagle likes your CPU too much :) Try removing beagle (reboot after removing the package).

Hi
A long delay can be caused by your network seeking connection on a slow/intermittent
network.

Also to improve Boot time, try:
