Hi,
Your specs are more than decent (I run Mint on a 1Ghz downgraded to 700Mhz with 512MB of RAM and everything's fast). Do you have a problem or a slow HDD maybe? Check dmesg for error messages or google for issues with your hardware.
Or maybe Beagle likes your CPU too much Try removing beagle (reboot after removing the package).

A long delay can be caused by your network seeking connection on a slow/intermittent
network.
Also to improve Boot time, try:
