Re: cant mount partitition
This is
17 : Cannot mount selected partition
This error is returned if the partition requested exists, but the filesystem type cannot be recognized by GRUB.
Has something happened to your computer?
The filesystem should be recognized...
Post the content of /boot/grub/menu.lst
Can you read it from Windows?
If not use the live CD

Re: cant mount partitition
Hi , There seems to be a partition missing I think . It is trying to mount h0,9 but that is an Ext 2
I have included a file showing the partitions using partition magic .
The problem seemed to have started after I used UBCD4win disk , tho I have used it before and never had a problem
Also what I intend doing is to put on the Elysia

Re: cant mount partitition
I had to read this a couple of times as there is another guy with a similar very strange problem....
I immediately see some oddities
Look at the third partition from the top
swap ntfs ????
Should there be unallocated space?
It seems that you're able to read the Linux partitions
You might be able to repair grub
Boot the live CD and follow the advice here
http://www.linuxmint.com/wiki/index.php ... _your_grub
Take it easy and read carefully and you'll fix it if grub is still possible to read (I think)
