I did not even see thatP.S. I just realized that I misspelled touchpad in the thread title
Haven't got a clue - most of what I'd recommend is in the link I gave you
Have to mark this and come back to you
Re: laptop toucpad, can't turn off tap to click
Hi,
I just ran into this problem myself.
In the "Autostarted Apps", you have to simply create a new startup daemon for Gsynaptics.
I believe it's "gsynaptics-init". Hit Add, then type that in as the command.
When you reboot, your changes should now activate.

I took a look at this again and now I saw that you have (in xorg.conf)
Option "TapButton1"
as "true" in
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
and as "0" in
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics Touchpad"
This seems a bit odd I think you should either have 0 or 1 or true or false not a mix
Try to set it as false instead of "0"
or for that matter as "1" instead of "true"

Hmm - sometimes you can't mix 0 or 1 with true or false
I have to search better in the forum, I have a distinct feeling this has been treated here

Here's an explanation in German - I have not found a similar wiki in English
http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Touchpad#Tap ... -Verhalten
There are a few suggestions for Hardy in this

Ouch I recently posted something that might be a solution for you too but I write so many posts that I don't find it (if I use the option View your posts I get 123 pages)
