mhh91,

You are describing your drives or partitions in Windows terms it seems. I am not really sure what you have. Use your Mint install cd and open a program called Gparted. It is in the menu. Post a screen shot of each of your drives, if you have more than one.

We can go from there.

mhh9,

Bad news my friend. You will never get Windows to boot from a non-first logical partition. At least I never have been able to do it. I have never seen it done either.

Windows wants to be on the first primary partition, and works best from there.

Sorry. :-(

mhh91,

Since you are going to have to redo it anyway:

sda1 NTFS -- Windows system
sda2 swap --- Linux
sda3 ext3 ---- Linux /
sda5 NTFS -- Windows storage

Good luck my friend,
