When I go to save a file in nautilus, it always show all the hidden files above all the folders in my home directory. How can I not show the hidden files and just show the folders?
Also: is there a way to make nautilus remember the last folder you saved the last file in? That would be very helpful.

I'm not quite sure I follow you
Either no hidden files or folders are shown, which is the default or they are shown if you go to "View > Show hidden"
They then appear at the bottom of the window including the hidden .nautilus folder

Re: Changing view of nautilus files
It's when I do a Save As and you select where you want to save the file. The window that opens shows all the hidden files first and then all the folders in Home directory. Is there a way to only show the /home files and not the hidden?
and is there a way where when you save a file it goes to the last place you saved one?

Right click in the "Save As" window. Uncheck "Show Hidden Files"
