Hi, my dad's box is running on Mint Xfce, and he's unable to stream any media. At first, mplayer would try, but wouldn't be able to, so we uninstalled that and put realplayer on. Still no cigar. this is the error message we get when trying to stream live radio:
Any solutions, are there tweaks I could have done to mplayer to make it work, or something else?

Re: Unable to stream media
I did not find streaming media on the bbc site
Post a link and I try again, because I think I have to have some idea of the source

Re: Unable to stream media
Works here on Elyssa main and XFCE (well I don't hear anything in XFCE as it is in Virtualbox and I don't have the patience to fiddle with settings)
Re: Unable to stream media
I could try installing mplayer again, but it never worked for us.
