Change background color in mintConfig

Post by Rittsel »

I want to change the back-color in mintConfig.

I've found entrys in /usr/lib/linuxmint/mintConfig/mintConfig_frontend.py & .gconf/apps/mintConfig/%gconf.xml

I've changed in both to #000000 instead of #FFFFFF but the background color did not change.

Is there anyway to change this, what have i missed?

Right click, preferences, then change it in there as well. Then right click and select "Reload plugins".

If that doesn't work you might want to remove and re-add the menu to the panel.

Hehe, i think you're talking about minMenu, but you gave me a tip anyway ;)

Yes, it's in Gconf-editor you change the background for mintConfig.

/ -> apps -> mintConfig -> back_color

Thanks for the advice clem :)

(gconfig-editor is the app that's executed when you righ-click on minMenu and choose preferences.
