I am trying Mint 5.0 via a live CD. When i try to play clips available at Bloomberg.com mplayer gets a playlist then just stops -- it won't play the clip. I tried each of the video output settings in the configure panel with the same result.
Any ideas?

additional info -- when i play these sites on Windows (IE) i am asked to install an activex called "windows media player core"
