Hi
Put "CD2 or bios update ubuntu" into Google
Gives,
I am trying to install linux on a IBM thinkpad 770e. Old I know. At the moment it only has 97mbs of ram. The problem is that the downloaded installation ISO has a problem booting. "Cannont boot from this CD. Please use CD2 or try a Bios update. I never downloaded a secound CD and never saw one available. If there is one could some one show me where to download it. Anyone else experience this problem and was able to fix please help me out. Thanks.

Okay my friend is giving me two 128 sticks will that be good. That is what i thought the problem was in the first place.

Hi
Thats enough of RAM :)

Do you get a ISOlinux... message before the "hit any key" message?

Try unplugging any USB devices as
bios sometimes defaults second device to usb.

Also have you tried cleaning heads on
CDRom, that has caught me out before.
