I just installed F-Spot Photo Manager and am getting this error:
"An unhandled exception was thrown: F-Spot cannot find the Dbus session bus. Make sure dbus is configured properly or start a new session for f-spot using "dbus-launch f-spot"
When I launch via Konsole using "dbus-launch f-spot", no problems.
How do I get it to launch from the K menu?
Fspot Dbus?

Re: Fspot Dbus?
Check to see if is installed.
Code: Select all
dbus-x11

No. It is not installed. Should I install? Will it break anything?67GTA wrote:Check to see ifis installed.Code: Select all

I do have dbus installed, though.
Here's a screen shot of my Adept Manager showing all that is installed and not installed for "dbus."
Re: Fspot Dbus?
Install it and try f-spot again. dbus-x11 is supposed to be pulled in automatically when f-spot is installed, but there have been cases where desktop environments like KDE and XFCE don't do this for some reason. It will not hurt your system.
