Sorry this is not possible - at least not with good results and not too much work.
A fresh install is recommended

Save all your precious data and then reboot with the Felicia CD in the drive and do a clean install.

Yea, but when you do that ensure you do it on removable media (ex- DVDs or External HDD) because a format is almost required- and formatting your precious data = bad usually.
