Okay! i tried taking a stab at compiling my first program!

Did not turn out to well

I extracted the tar.gz file and got into the folder through the command prompt.
i did the ./configure, after a huge list of words on the screen, I got this error

checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.

Anyone know whats up?

Hi
Why not go to Synaptic/Search/Ktorrent and
install?, it's in Synaptic, much easier

Download the deb file.

http://buntudot.org/people/~jdong/ktorrent/2.1/ktorrent_2.1-0ubuntu1~6.10prevu1_i386.deb

all you have to do is double click it and it will install for you.

There's already a torrent client within Gnome in Bianca. And if you want a better one (ktorrent) APT is your friend:

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install ktorrent
