Hi,
We experienced some problems with the server in the last 3 days:
- Database connection errors
- Missing pages
- Blank page when trying to reply to a thread in the forums
The blank page and missing pages problems are solved. We still might run into database connection problems now and then but they shouldn't last too long. We're also experiencing error 500 problems due to the growing traffic. I'm looking into this at the moment and we might get another dedicated server to solve this.
I would like to apologize for the inconvenience and I'm happy to report that the forums are now fully working again.
Clem.

Re: Forum problems solved
Thank you, Clem. I feel deprived when the forum has problems But that may be because I'm well past my "use by" date

Good news!
Let's hope there will be a dedicated server, Mint is growing so fast!
...and finally I could get that wallpaper up, been trying since last night...

Re: Forum problems solved
Thanks.
I was a bit confused as to why I was getting warnings- too many connected ( in 1000s).
Now I understand.
Better it is the problem of intense usage than indifference.
Planning to move on to Mint-6. Downloded ISO.
Thanks Clem, Husse & the team

Re: Forum problems solved
Thanks Clem for the update! Like so many others I was deprived without my daily doses of the forums.
Re: Forum problems solved
The major problems are solved but we still have minor problems which we hope will be solved when we get a new server dedicated to the forum (at least that's how it looks now, but whatever we do we will have considerably better server capacity)
