Unwanted changes to OpenOffice files

I thought I had answered this, may have been gone in the forum problems :(
All the files are set to the date when I transfer them, replacing the original dates.
This is the default behaviour in Windows :)
And you say they are in .doc format...
Is this before they are opened? It is definitely not Linux behaviour
I hope you are not confusing the accessed and created/changed dates?
I have seen cases where they've been switched (but I think that was on Windows...)
And you are most likely not doing anything wrong....
