Right click does random things in firefox

Trying to right-click on an image to get the context menu. Sometimes this works, but usually it triggers a random firefox feature, including: bookmarking the page, opening the image in a new window, or launching Thunderbird. I'm 100% sure I'm not accidentally hitting any other buttons or anything. What could be causing this?

This happens to me when I mistakenly click both the scrollwheel and right click at the same time
I think it's some mouse problem
You did not tell us which Mint you use or which mouse

When I highlight a word and accidentally press the wheel mouse and the right click button at the same time it sends me to a web page that is related to that word, not sure if it's supposed to do that or not.

I sometimes have that problem when I have Compiz running. I usually have to just be careful when I am right-clicking is all. Try disabling your Compiz and if the problem you are having persists. If it doesn't happen then, then you know it's the Compiz itself. If it isn't, post again, and I am sure someone will be able to assist you further.
