I would install k3b-extra-codecs via Synaptic if you've not already done so. Who knows? It might have some impact.

Sasafrass,
I notice you also still have that issue with sound not working properly in Felicia, right? So why not just fall back to Elyssa. It is a LTS, and many of us have better luck with it than with Felicia. Just a suggestion, no offense intended.

I have libk3b3-extracodecs installed, is that it? What repo is it in?

My shutdown sound doesn't work, & I think Elyssa has the same issue.
