I'm fairly certain there is a shortcut key combination that will accomplish this......Have to think about it.

You can set it up as a keyboard shortcut in the preferences.
Additionally some laptops, like my thinkpad, have a specific Fn+LockScreen key which also worked automatically for me.

You are right. I had forgotten that because I had not done that for so long!Why not just use Ctrl+Alt+L instead?
