Sometimes I would like to use Yahoo messenger with e.g. the webcam.
Any help available?

Either reboot in Windows, or install Windows in VirtualBox...
In plain old Linux, I would recommend using Pidgin for text messenging with Yahoo users, and switch to Skype for video-conversations...

Kopete will work with a webcam and Yahoo as long as you install the libjasper1 package from Synaptic. You may wish to consider that option.

I tried to download and install ymesseneger, but despite downloading the requeated files it did not work at the end.
