.flv to mp3

Post by iironjade »

How long, ideally, should it take to convert a 3.5MB .flv file to mp3 using Sound Converter? It's been at it for hours. :?

I've never done this before, but something intuitive tells me that is way to long.
What about trying something simple like this in terminal

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -i /path/to/video.flv /path/to/song.mp3
[you would have to man ffmpeg to find out more advanced parameters]

EDIT:
Better yet, instead of using the command i posted above, check out this

Too right it's way too long. I eventually did it with Firefox' Download Helper which did it in seconds. Why Sound Converter had such a brainstorm I've no idea.
Thanks for your suggestion. :)
