The live cd should boot even without a hard disk in the computer
Have you tried Compatibility mode (probably - but I ask anyway)

Can you access it with any Linux?
If so the result of lspci and lspci -v would be helpful
I don't know if there's a way to make a concise list of your hardware in Windows - I've never found one
At least the names of the chips would help
