XFCE desktop wallpaper - where is it? SOLVED

Post by Aging Technogeek »

Just installed Mint 6 XFCE on my PC and most everything is going well. Just one little problem. Where did they hide the desktop wallpaper selection? I found it once by accident but now I can't remember where it was.

Otherwise I'm liking what I see of the XFCE version of Mint. To all developers - very nice work. I just might switch from Mint 6 main edition to XFCE if I don't have any worse issues than losing the wallpapers.

Surprised this hasn't been answered for you by now...
Just right click anywhere on the desktop, and at the bottom of the menu is Desktop Settings.
Click on that, and about halfway down you'll see the word Image.
Under that is File:, and at the right is a folder icon.
Click on it and you'll get a list of wallpapers (backgrounds) to select from.
There is even a preview pane on the right.
Good luck, it's pretty smooth.

Thanks for the pointer. I knew they were there, I just couldn't find them again. I guess I'm aging faster than I thought.
