That is not the case any moreDevice section "Configured Video Device" must have a Driver
line.
You have to be root (use sudo)ERROR: Unable to write to directory '/etc/X11'.
Check the Screen resolution tool, if that does not help do you have nvidia-settings?

If you don't have nvidia-settings you have to install the drivers with envyng
If you don't find it in the menu just run envyng -t in a terminal and uninstall the present driver first
