I now have two Mint 6 Universal Live CDs from Linux Magazine.
In both cases when booting (CD drive booting set) it hangs with message Looking for Boot Record from CDRom.
Have tried pressing any key during first 10 seconds of boot but no Compatibility Mode comes up.
What help please?
Mike

Welcome to Mint.
Sounds like a problem with the CD. Are you able to boot any other live CD's.
Could you download a new copy from the home page?

Definitely sounds like a cd problem. Can only suggest that if you cannot download from the Mint Home yourself then perhaps you could ask a friend. If you do, burn the iso at the slowest speed possible.
It would be a pity if you are unable to try such a good distro.
