Tony that is a really good review. its seems alot of us windows converts have come over for the same or similar reasons. Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard Tony@DuxfordUK,

Your site is interesting. You, like most of us Mint converts, have very good reasons to switch to Linux.
I hope you won't miss all that malware , spyware and virus hunting.
Over here we don't even have a fox-hunting event. :(
I will request Clem to start at least a duck-hunting program here. :lol:

The path sounds relatively familiar, to my quest for a widows replacement. The quest lead me here and it is a very satisfying journeys end. I have pointed several co-workers and associates in other countries to Mint, and they too are switching over to the fresh Mint flavor of the many Linux distributions that we can choose from.

I too prefer Gnome, but found that the Mint KDE desktop was by far the most impressive.
