Re: Audio Converter
I've never had any problems with sox, a CLI, but if you want a gui, you might want to try audacity

Soundconverter (Gnome)
GNOME application to convert audio files into other formats
SoundConverter is a simple sound converter application for the GNOME
environment. It reads sound files in any format supported by GStreamer
and outputs them in Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, or WAV format, or MP3 format if
you have the GStreamer LAME plugin.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Soundkonverter (KDE)
audio converter frontend for KDE
soundKonverter is a frontend to various audio converters.
The key features are:
- Audio conversion
- Replay Gain calculation
- CD ripping
soundKonverter supports reading and writing tags for many formats, so the tags
are preserved when converting files.
It comes with an Amarok script.
See 'soundkonverter-amarok' package for more informations.
See README.Debian for more informations on supported formats.

Re: Audio Converter
On this same line of converting I'm trying to fine a Linux program that will name automatically name files(windows media player) when you upload and convert your music CD's to mp3 or other formats. For Linux Mint 6 what is the best music player?
Thanks
