Make shortcut/icon for limewire

Post by flumpy7 »

Hi im still fairly new to linux so sorry if this is a stupid question....i just installed limewire on to Bianca and wondered how to create a shortcut in the bianca menu and on the desktop. Not so bothered about the desktop but would deff like it in the Bianca menu. Also...does anybody know why limewire is not available through the ubuntu repositories?

Thanks in advance

From the taskbar panel, click Bianca > Preferences > Menu Layout.

Then, from the menu in the left column, you can select Internet.

Finally, click New Item to enter limewire in the Command field.

Some apps have a bad habit of not adding a shortcut to the Bianca menu
It's simple to fix.
You need to know the path to limewire
in a terminal run "which limewire" and you'll know the path.
The path is most likely /usr/bin/limewire
Open the menu and select Menu layout
To the left select the "submenu" where you want your shortcut to end up and add a "New post" and you're done
//edit//
Click mintmenu --> control panel --> Desktop --> menu layout
Yepp, but it's faster Click mintmenu type men in the search field and click menu layout
