Hiya, I just downloaded kde 4 to replace my linux mint. For some some strange reason I have 2 major problems now. It seems to log me out randomly now. I also don't seem to be able to connect to the internet dispite making a new connection using the network manager.

Edit: It seems the cd live doesn't work now either, just a black screen with blue lines across the middle portion!
Edit 2: Got live cd to work, just reinstalled KDE4 from it and it seems that the internet is working now... I will report back if it keeps logging me out.
Could this be because I didn't format my old hard disk when it had linux sabayon on it already? I formated it this time round. I didn't before because I thought it would do it automatically or at least over write all the old files!

yes not formatting your / partition at least can cause lots of weird problems.
it is not done automatically for a manual partition since if you are doing a manual partition it assumes that you know what you are doing.
you manual partition if you want to keep a separate /home partition or others and keep their data between installs.
