kde 3.5 for mint 6

I have installed mint 6 on my ThinkPad T60 and I think it is great,
everything is working fine including wireless but I prefer kde 3.5.
I know kde 4 is available for mint 6 but I don't think it's ready for prime time.
Is there a how-to to install kde 3.5 on mint 6?
Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to download mint 5 kde but your server is so slow.
Only get 35KB /sec, it will take 19 hours to download.
There is a dvd of mint 5 kde available for $10.00, I may go that route.

I tried another server and was getting 300KB-1000KB and downloaded mint 5 kde in 45 mins.
Installed and am using it now. It is working fine.
